- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons capers
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
- 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Flatten the chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet or rolling pin. Season both sides with salt and pepper, then dredge in flour until well-coated.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter until sizzling. Add the floured chicken breasts and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.
- In the same skillet (do not wipe clean), add the remaining butter and sauté the minced garlic for about one minute until fragrant.
- Stir in capers, lemon juice, and chicken broth; bring to a gentle simmer.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and let it simmer in the sauce for an additional 1-2 minutes until fully cooked through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving. Enjoy with pasta or a fresh salad!
