Description

Indulge in this delightful Cinnamon Apple Roast with Sage, a perfect blend of sweet and savory that warms the heart and impresses at any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 lbs boneless pork loin roast
  • 2 large Granny Smith apples, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh sage leaves, chopped
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a large roasting pan with nonstick spray.
  2. Sear the Roast: In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil. Season pork loin with salt and pepper, then sear all sides until golden brown (about 3-4 minutes per side).
  3. Prepare Apples: While the pork is searing, core and slice the apples. In a bowl, toss apple slices with brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped sage.
  4. Assemble and Roast: Place the seared pork in the prepared roasting pan. Top with the apple mixture and cover with aluminum foil. Roast for approximately 1 hour or until internal temperature reaches at least 145°F (63°C).
  5. Baste and Serve: Baste halfway through cooking if desired. Once done, let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  6. Enjoy: Serve slices drizzled with pan juices alongside your favorite sides.
