Description

Savor the delightful combination of savory ground beef, melted cheese, and fresh vegetables in this easy-to-make Cheeseburger Bowl, ideal for busy weeknights or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef (or turkey/plant-based alternative)
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or pepper jack)
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce (iceberg or romaine)
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes (or cherry tomatoes)
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mustard

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat if necessary and season with salt and pepper.
  2. While the beef cooks, prepare the rice according to package instructions until fluffy.
  3. In each serving bowl, layer the cooked rice as the base.
  4. Spoon generous portions of cooked ground beef over the rice base.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top while everything is still warm so it melts beautifully. Then add lettuce and diced tomatoes.
  6. Finish off with ketchup and mustard—or any other toppings you prefer!
