- 1 ½ cups warm water (110°F)
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ cup chopped walnuts
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water and active dry yeast. Let it sit until frothy for about 10 minutes.
- Add honey, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture. Gradually mix in all-purpose flour until a shaggy dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Punch down the risen dough and shape it into a round loaf. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Sprinkle chopped walnuts, ground cinnamon, and toasted sesame seeds on top.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before slicing.
