Description

Mini Apple Pies are delightful individual desserts filled with spiced apples and wrapped in a flaky crust, perfect for sharing at gatherings or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 package (17.3 oz) store-bought puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 egg, for egg wash

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss the sliced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice until well coated. Set aside.
  2. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Unroll the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface and cut out circles about 4 inches in diameter.
  4. Place a generous spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each pastry circle.
  5. Fold each pastry over into a half-moon shape and pinch the edges tightly to seal.
  6. Brush the tops with melted butter and an egg wash for a shiny finish.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed. Let cool slightly before serving.
