- 2 chai tea bags
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 cup brewed coffee or espresso
- 1/2 cup whole milk or non-dairy alternative
- 2 tbsp vanilla syrup
- 1 cinnamon stick (for garnish)
- 1/2 cup sparkling water (for mocktail version)
Instructions
- For the Cocktail: 1. Boil water until bubbling and steep chai tea bags in a heatproof container for 5 minutes.
- 2. Brew strong coffee or espresso while the chai steeps.
- 3. In a mixing glass, combine brewed chai tea and coffee in equal parts. Add milk and stir in vanilla syrup to taste.
- 4. Pour into a mug and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
- For the Mocktail Version: 1. Follow steps 1-3 for the cocktail, but instead of coffee, use an additional cup of brewed chai tea.
- 2. Serve over ice and top with sparkling water before garnishing with a cinnamon stick.
