Indulge in this creamy Shrimp and Crab Au Gratin, featuring succulent seafood enveloped in rich flavors and a crispy topping—perfect for any gathering or cozy dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 8 ounces fresh lump crab meat
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Gruyère and Parmesan blend)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
  • Additional shredded cheese for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add shrimp and crab meat, sautéing until pink and opaque (about 3 minutes). Remove from heat.
  3. In the same skillet, melt remaining butter over medium-low heat. Stir in flour, cooking for about 1 minute until golden brown.
  4. Gradually whisk in heavy cream until smooth. Add minced garlic, salt, pepper, and half of the shredded cheese; stir until melted.
  5. Fold sautéed shrimp and crab into the creamy sauce until well-coated. Pour mixture into the greased baking dish.
  6. Top with remaining cheese and breadcrumbs. Bake uncovered for about 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
