Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.

- Cut in softened butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the beaten egg until well combined.
- Press two-thirds of this mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- In another bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice, brown sugar, and remaining cinnamon.
- Spread this apple mixture evenly over the crust layer in the baking pan.
- Sprinkle the remaining crust mixture over the apples to create a crumbly topping.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown on top.
- Allow to cool slightly before cutting into squares.
