  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine crushed hazelnuts and melted butter until well blended.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and sides of tart pans.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator while preparing the filling.
  5. In a heatproof bowl over simmering water (double boiler), melt dark chocolate until smooth, stirring occasionally.
  6. In another bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until combined.
  7. Gradually add in the melted chocolate while whisking continuously to create a smooth filling.
  8. Pour the chocolate mixture into each prepared tart shell, filling them about three-quarters full.
  9. Bake in your preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until set around the edges but still slightly soft in the center.
  10. Allow to cool completely before removing from pans.
