Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine crushed hazelnuts and melted butter until well blended.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and sides of tart pans.
- Chill in the refrigerator while preparing the filling.
- In a heatproof bowl over simmering water (double boiler), melt dark chocolate until smooth, stirring occasionally.
- In another bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Gradually add in the melted chocolate while whisking continuously to create a smooth filling.
- Pour the chocolate mixture into each prepared tart shell, filling them about three-quarters full.
- Bake in your preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until set around the edges but still slightly soft in the center.
- Allow to cool completely before removing from pans.
