Description

Savor the sweet and savory fusion of maple syrup and brown sugar in this tender pulled turkey recipe, ideal for sandwiches or as a comforting family meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 lbs boneless turkey breast
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together maple syrup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and chicken broth until smooth.
  4. Place the seasoned turkey breast in a roasting pan and pour half of the sauce over it. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake for about 2 hours.
  5. After 2 hours, remove the foil. Check that the internal temperature has reached at least 165°F (75°C). Let it rest before shredding with two forks.
  6. Pour the remaining sauce over shredded turkey and mix well before serving.
