One Pot Chili is a hearty, satisfying dish, perfect for warming up during chilly nights or gatherings with friends. Its bold flavors and simple preparation make it a favorite!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) canned diced tomatoes (fire-roasted optional)
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) beans (kidney or black), rinsed
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 bell peppers, diced (red or green)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tbsp cumin
  • 3 cups vegetable broth or low-sodium beef broth

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey until fully cooked, about 10 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add the chopped onion and diced bell peppers to the pot. Sauté until soft and aromatic, approximately 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in minced garlic, chili powder, and cumin. Cook for another minute to enhance the spices.
  4. Pour in the canned diced tomatoes and rinsed beans. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Add the vegetable or beef broth to the pot and bring to a gentle boil. Reduce heat and let it simmer uncovered for about 20 minutes.
  6. Once thickened to your liking, serve hot with optional toppings like shredded cheese or sour cream.
