- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 2 tbsp cumin
- 3 cups vegetable broth or low-sodium beef broth
Instructions
- In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey until fully cooked, about 10 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add the chopped onion and diced bell peppers to the pot. Sauté until soft and aromatic, approximately 5 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic, chili powder, and cumin. Cook for another minute to enhance the spices.
- Pour in the canned diced tomatoes and rinsed beans. Mix thoroughly.
- Add the vegetable or beef broth to the pot and bring to a gentle boil. Reduce heat and let it simmer uncovered for about 20 minutes.
