Description

Savor the irresistible flavors of Slow Cooker Smoky Pulled Beef, slow-cooked to tender perfection in a tangy, smoky sauce. Ideal for sandwiches or served over rice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the beef chuck roast. Rub it with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear all sides of the roast until browned (approximately 4 minutes per side).
  3. In a bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until slightly thick yet pourable.
  4. Place the seared roast in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over it, ensuring it's well covered.
  5. Set your slow cooker on low for about 8 hours or high for about 4 hours until the beef is tender.
  6. Once cooked through, shred the beef using two forks inside the slow cooker. Mix to coat in sauce before serving on plates or buns.
