Description

Start your day with a warm, chocolatey breakfast that’s healthy and satisfying! These Chocolate Baked Oats are easy to make and perfect for meal prep.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, cocoa powder, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Stir until well mixed.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until fully blended.
  4. Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients. Stir until everything is evenly combined. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until set and slightly crispy on top.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before cutting into squares. Serve warm with an extra drizzle of maple syrup or fresh fruit if desired.
