Description

Indulge in a spooky delight with this Halloween Cookies and Cream Cheesecake, featuring creamy layers and crunchy cookie bits that create a hauntingly delicious treat perfect for any Halloween gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups crushed chocolate sandwich cookies
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • Optional: additional cookie crumbs or chocolate sauce for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine crushed chocolate sandwich cookies with melted butter until well blended.
  3. Press this mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to create an even layer.
  4. Bake for about 10 minutes. Remove from oven and set aside.
  5. In another bowl, beat together softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth.
  6. Add vanilla extract and sour cream; continue mixing until thoroughly combined.
  7. Gently fold in the crushed chocolate sandwich cookies to add delightful chunks throughout the filling.
  8. Pour the filling over the prepared crust in the springform pan.
  9. Bake in your preheated oven for about 50-60 minutes, or until set but slightly jiggly in the center.
  10. Turn off the oven and crack open the door slightly; allow cheesecake to cool gradually inside to prevent cracking on top.
  11. After cooling at room temperature for about an hour, transfer it to the fridge for at least four hours (or overnight).
  12. When ready to serve, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form and spread it on top before slicing into pieces.
  13. Drizzle with chocolate sauce or sprinkle more cookie crumbs on top for an extra spooky touch.
