Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups crushed chocolate sandwich cookies
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- Optional: additional cookie crumbs or chocolate sauce for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine crushed chocolate sandwich cookies with melted butter until well blended.
- Press this mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to create an even layer.
- Bake for about 10 minutes. Remove from oven and set aside.
- In another bowl, beat together softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add vanilla extract and sour cream; continue mixing until thoroughly combined.
- Gently fold in the crushed chocolate sandwich cookies to add delightful chunks throughout the filling.
- Pour the filling over the prepared crust in the springform pan.
- Bake in your preheated oven for about 50-60 minutes, or until set but slightly jiggly in the center.
- Turn off the oven and crack open the door slightly; allow cheesecake to cool gradually inside to prevent cracking on top.
- After cooling at room temperature for about an hour, transfer it to the fridge for at least four hours (or overnight).
- When ready to serve, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form and spread it on top before slicing into pieces.
- Drizzle with chocolate sauce or sprinkle more cookie crumbs on top for an extra spooky touch.

Keywords: - Use room temperature ingredients like cream cheese for a smoother texture; cold cream cheese can lead to lumps. - Feel free to experiment with different types of cookies for a unique flavor twist, such as peanut butter or mint-flavored varieties.
