Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two round cake pans.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat together eggs, granulated sugar, melted butter, and whole milk until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients while stirring gently until fully combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Divide the batter evenly between prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
- In a heatproof bowl over simmering water, melt dark chocolate with heavy cream until smooth and glossy.
- Place one cooled cake layer on a serving plate. Spread half of the ganache on top, followed by fresh raspberries.
- Top with the second cake layer and drizzle remaining ganache over it. Serve with additional raspberries if desired.
