- 1 pound sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 12 ounces cheese-filled tortellini
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
- Season steak bites with salt and pepper, then sear them in the skillet until browned on all sides (about 3 minutes per side). Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring well while scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add tortellini directly to the sauce and cook according to package instructions until al dente (approximately 3-5 minutes).
- Add cooked steak bites back into the skillet along with freshly grated parmesan cheese. Stir to combine until everything is coated in the sauce.
- Serve immediately, drizzled with extra sauce if desired.
