Pavlova with Winter Fruits is a light, airy dessert topped with luscious whipped cream and vibrant seasonal fruits—perfect for cozy gatherings and festive celebrations.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large egg whites
- 1 cup granulated sugar (or superfine sugar)
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional)
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 2 cups assorted winter fruits (such as pomegranates, kiwi, and citrus slices)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper and draw an 8-inch circle on it.
- In a clean mixing bowl, beat the egg whites with an electric mixer until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar, one tablespoon at a time, until stiff peaks hold their shape.
- Gently fold in the white vinegar and cornstarch (if using) to stabilize the meringue.
- Spoon the meringue onto the prepared baking tray within the drawn circle, creating a well in the center.
- Bake for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Turn off the oven and leave the meringue inside until fully cooled.
- Once cooled, carefully remove from parchment paper. Top generously with whipped cream and arrange winter fruits before serving immediately.
