- 4 cups confectioners' sugar
- ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two round cake pans or line them with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Gradually add sugar and continue beating until fluffy (about three minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract, mixing well after each addition.
- Alternately mix in the dry ingredients with milk, starting and finishing with dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Divide batter evenly between pans and bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool in pans for about ten minutes before transferring to wire racks.
- In a mixing bowl, combine confectioners' sugar and heavy cream. Beat until smooth and creamy.
- Divide frosting into bowls if using multiple colors and add gel food coloring as desired.
- Once cakes are cooled, frost between layers and decorate the top with colorful floral designs.
